Offering innovative, home grown market leading technology solutions, the company has paved the way for the Web2Print technology market; becoming the largest independent provider of their own software within this arena, supplying global solutions to the worlds biggest companies.

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic developer, looking to take their career to the next level, working within an established technical team at the fore-front of their existing industry. You will be involved in all aspects of Vpress’ technology, including development, technical design and trouble shooting.

You will take ownership of assigned projects, translating requirements through to fully functional web applications. Working with both back-end developers, project managers and creatives, you will take an active role in defining how the applications look, as well as function, whilst requiring problem resolution and creative thinking skills to ensure all projects are successfully achieved.

Tasks this role includes:

  • Develop user-facing web applications as part of mature and continually evolving system

  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability

  • Work alongside the wider team to help deliver bespoke customer projects

  • Help guide design and UI/UX of application

  • Deal directly with customers to ensure requirements are clear and understood.

Essential Skills:

  • Passion for user-facing technology innovations

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS

  • Good understanding of JavaScript, including jQuery

  • Proficient understanding of responsive front-end design principles utilising Bootstrap

  • Ideally experience in React or an enthusiasm to learn

  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues

  • A solid grasp of source control techniques

  • Experience of utilising wire-frame software, such as Balsamiq

  • Familiarity with APIs

  • Ideally knowledge of PHP or other server-side language or enthusiasm to learn

  • Great communication skills and proven organisation capabilities

Salary: £24K-£30k (dependent on experience)
